As a part of the Academic Activity of the Department, The M.com Department of Nandkunvarba Mahila College organized an Orientation Program for the newly admitted M.com students, dignitaries, faculty member & chief guest of the event Dr. Vimal Jagad sir, Deputy Manager, The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, CED-Bhavnagar Region Office, GIDC Chitra, Bhavnagar & Bharatsinhji Gohil, Managing Trusty, Nandkunverba Mahila College, Devrajnagar, Bhavnagar and the Coordinator of the Department, Mr. Dipak Makwana at the seminar room of institute premises on 18th July 2025 from 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM. Followed next was lamp lighting ceremony accompanied by Saraswati Vandana and NMC song.
The Orientation program was held in different session in which out of total 104 students in First Semester, 82 students were present and also attended the orientation program. In this orientation program Dr. Vimal Jagad was the resource person for the session. Bharatsinhji Gohil also welcomed the students and motivated them to excel in their respective fields.
Dr. Vimal Jagad, then expressed his cultivating ideas. He exhorted students to prefer research, entrepreneurship over on campus placement, education should be knowledge oriented rather than placement oriented. Students should try to attain overall development in sports, extra-curricular activities and the development of Strength by improving confidence and skill in addition to academics.

On July 18, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM, an insightful orientation program was held as the 2nd session of the day, featuring Ms. Shobhanaben Patel, Branch Manager. SBI Life, Bhavnagar as the guest speaker. Her presentation, titled “Career in Banking Sector after M. Com and Job Opportunities,” provided comprehensive guidance on the relevance of an M. Com degree for banking careers, highlighting diverse job roles such as financial analyst, credit analyst, and probationary officer, while emphasizing essential skills like analytical ability, communication, and knowledge of banking regulations. The session concluded with practical advice on internships, certifications, and networking, leaving students well-informed and motivated about their future prospects in the banking sector.

On July 19, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 02:15 PM, the first session of an orientation program was successfully held, featuring CA Tejas Andharia, a renowned Chartered Accountant, who delivered an insightful talk on “The Introduction of Investment Opportunities.” He elucidated the fundamental reasons for investing, such as wealth creation and inflation combat, while simplifying various asset classes like equity, debt, and mutual funds, stressing the crucial relationship between risk and return. CA Andharia encouraged starting investments early, emphasizing the power of compounding and the importance of diversification, research, and financial planning, ultimately equipping students with essential foundational knowledge for their investment journeys.

The session provided students with diverse perspectives on career paths, emphasizing the importance of identifying and cultivating skills, the power of passion and purpose, effective networking, and the necessity of continuous learning and adaptability.
