P.G. centre of M.com has held the guest lecture on “General health issues”. Dr. Rajani Parikh has guided to the students on above the subject on 03 February 2023. Dr. Rajani Parikh is Qualified as M.D. (Obs & Gynec), F.I.C.O.G., P.G.D.M.L.S., Advance Diploma in Gynec Endoscopy (Kiel, Germany). She is working as ‘Gynecologist’ in Shreemay Gynec & Gastrosurgical Hospital, Sameep Coplex, Kalubha Road, Kalanala, Bhavnagar. Also working as Associate Professor in Sir Takhtasinhji Hospital & Medical college’, Bhavnagar.
The lecture was enlightening and truly an eye-opener in all aspects regarding a woman’s menstrual health and cycle, and also helped us gain an insight as to what might be a probable cause for the painful cycles that women nowadays experience- which was narrowed down to the sanitary napkins which are currently in large demand by women of all economical backgrounds and ages. She explained to us that these napkins- pads, are in fact manufactured using raw materials which also find their use in the petroleum industry, like Styrene, Chloromethane, to name a few, which becomes a primary cause for painful cycles along with some other serious issues, like ovarian cancer.
She has guided about menstrual cycle, its regularity, prevention measure should be taken for any gynic disease. She also talked about his specialization and health related issues specially suffer by female. She explains importance of proper diet, Exercise, and life style to maintain a good health. She guided Students that how to diet plan.
In this session of this activity, there are more than 50 Students are joined in guest lecture. At the end of this program interaction session was conducted to discuss students with experts on their personal problems and issues.
Dr. Rajani Parikh created awareness among the audience related to the gynec issues. She spoke about the importance of why girls should receive appropriate medical care as they grow into their teens. Students interacted with the doctor with their queries and found the talk to be very informative. She also shared informative some interesting example related to effect of food on health.
