Capital Budgeting and Accounting Practices

The M.com Department of Nandkunvarba Mahila College organized a Guest Lecture in Financial Management course for second Year (Semester – 03) of students on 02th July 2024 from 01:00 PM to 02:30 PM. The topic of the lecture was ‘Capital Budgeting and Accounting Practices’.
CA Tejas Andharia, (Ex. President Of Bhavnagar, Ca Association And Proprietor of TK Andharia & Co. Bhavnagar was the resource person for the session. The objective of this session was to familiarize students with the importance of Financial Management and the uses of Capital Budgeting in Decision Making.
The resource person began by outlining the importance of Capital Budgeting in Growth Strategies of Company and the reasons for an Indian company to adopt such Planning. He highlighted the impact of different accounting methods of evaluating capital budget. He also spoke about the need for the Capital Budget and gave many live examples of companies to substantiate his views.
The students were exposed to various insights of significance of financial Decision and investment decision. The session gave students a comprehensive overview of the significance of preparing capital budgeting. CA Tejas Andharia complimented the students on their keenness to learn.
